52 to Fabulous: Week 1 - What a Girl Wants

My friends online know the 'Mommy' Erin from my family/parenting blog, but not many of them know the PERSON, Erin. That was one of the reasons I started this blog about ME. I love my son, but think it's important to take time for me. To work on being a better me.

The fabulous Linda (@Linda_Sellers) has created a great meme to help woman do just that in 2010. This first week is all about what a girl wants. (WANTS are different from needs. Needs will be addressed later!)

What I want:

1. Happiness. I want to be happy. Genuinely.
2. Money. No, I don't want to be rich. But I want to have $20 in my pocket at all times and right now I can't say I do.
3. Health. I want to know I can run to the end of the driveway (which in my defense is like 130 feet) and not feel like I am going to fall over from the deadly 'run and jiggle' It hurts when you boobs/arms/thighs/stomach/ass cheeks all slap around. It would be nice to loose all those extra pounds and be able to run my driveway, play with my kid, or just walk up the stairs without something 'slapping around.'
4. Job. I WANT another jizzob. No. I don't want to give up blogging, social media, and marketing. I just want another job doing it that PAYS!
5. Love. Somebody remind Dave that I am still that beautiful, sexy woman he fell in love with 6 years ago. And then remind him that sometimes a woman NEEDS to be reminded that she's still that beautiful, sexy woman, you fell in love with and STILL ARE in love with. No, I don't want sex. Or flowers. I'm talking a sweet handmade card, a note on my pillow or computer that says I love you. I silly drawing of a stick figure saying it. Hey, I would even take him SAYING I love you, without me saying it first and a kiss unprompted. I have suggested a date night once a month (or even every other month) and haven't gotten much of a positive response. It sort of hurts and makes me not feel too loved. All I am saying is that I want to be shown I am still loved too. Mamas need love too. Really. We do.
6. More time in a day. oh. not possible. shucks. Well since I can't have that I will go for. A NEW COMPUTER. My writing, blogging, graphic design, and computer work is getting harder and harder on this pc I had to build after my mac laptop died. Yes. I built this thing from 4 other towers from 1996 to 2004. Needless to say it's like a drunk Franken-puter that just learned to needlepoint, ice skate, and play a tuba on crack. Yeah I don't know what that means either, but trust me. It's BAD.
7. Some more tv shows I like on DVD (we don't have cable or whatnot). Some more books I like. A few more wii games I want.
   
8. oh and CLOTHES. that fit. I want WOMAN's jeans (not Dave's hand-me-downs). I want shirts. new underwear and bras. I want clothes that look good and FIT. Did I mention that I want them to FIT. cuz I really would love that.
   
9. Fabric/ craft supplies. I want to go on a 10k craft spree and buy yards and yards of pretty fabrics and felt and glue and modge podge and scrapbooking stuff and all the fun things like that so I can create again.
10. A car that I feel safe driving. That IS safe to actually put my son in. that isn't going to stall and explode oil while driving amidst TONS of traffic and almost cause us to die.

So after I did my list I looked back and my wants aren't really that ... want-like. They are more like needs anyway. bah. oh well.
